CareFirst

We are a multi-doctor general practice and specialist centre providing health care to the people of New Plymouth and beyond. We have a broad range of family medical and specialist services along with on-site X-ray facilities, a comprehensive retail pharmacy and physiotherapy services.

Our extended opening hours and Urgent Care clinic allow easy access for your convenience as well as urgent medical care. See our website for more information.

CAREfirst now offers video or phone consultations for our patients. Video or phone consulting is a safe and efficient way for you to consult with your doctor, if your GP thinks that they do need to see you this can be arranged usually for the same day. Having a face to face consultation is still an option for our patients. You don’t need any fancy IT equipment just a smart phone to video or any phone to call. Video or phone consults are charged at the same cost as a usual visit, if you need a face to face visit following a video/phone consultation you are not charged twice.
