Rawiri Blundell


Māori Health Manager

Rawiri, Ngati Porou ki Uawa, has a Postgraduate Diploma in Māori Health from the University of Auckland.

His previous work in hauora includes the equity manager role at the Midland Cancer Network where he was a part of the national development and implementation of the Kia Ora e te Iwi programme to inform and upskill whānau about the cancer journey. Rawiri is a member of Hei Āhuru Mōwai; National Māori Cancer Leadership Aotearoa. He has also been an author or co-author of key research publications, such as Te Wai O Rona Diabetes Prevention Strategy and Oranga Tāne Māori Chronic Conditions and Whānau Ora. Rawiri is currently a co-lead for the Oranga Tū Prostate Cancer project and an advisor on the Hā Ora Early Detection of Lung Cancer for Māori project.
