Claire van der Most

Born in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington, Claire’s family moved to the winterless north, Te Tai Tokerau where she spent her childhood, before coming to the Waikato to study. After completing her studies and a brief period in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland, Claire headed overseas and spent nearly a decade in London, England; before returning to the Waikato.

With 20+ years’ experience across the private, public and for-purpose sectors, Claire’s governance and executive roles have served a variety of stakeholders including health and disability, ethnic communities, and older people. She has a keen interest in improving outcomes for the diverse population across our region. A Chartered Institute of Directors member with a Master’s in Industrial and Organisational Psychology from the University of Waikato, Claire serves on a number of boards.
