Garry’s career began by founding and scaling his own companies, providing him with a firsthand understanding of the operational pressures facing small business owners. This owner-operator mindset ensures his digital initiatives at Pinnacle are grounded in clinical efficiency, reliability, and measurable ROI for GP owner stakeholders.

A key figure in New Zealand’s health evolution since early in 2020, Garry has led major data and digital programmes through periods of significant reform. His track record includes National & Regional Lead (Te Manawa Taki), Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora steering large-scale digital transitions, starting in health in the former Waikato DHB accountable regional strategy and architecture governance.

Garry's objective is to bridge the gap between innovation and stability. He incorporates real-world governance perspective gained as the former Chair of Tribe (NZ); an IT services company for small to medium companies. His commitment to the sector is further evidenced by his governance roles with Hospice Waikato and Community Waikato, ensuring a community-first approach to digital health.
