A new board chair for Pinnacle Ventures

04 November 2020

Mark Ingle.

Pinnacle Ventures Limited is pleased to announce Mark Ingle as the new board chair, replacing Craig McFarlane.

Mark has been an independent director of Pinnacle Ventures since April 2020. Alongside his role as chair for Ventures he will remain an independent director on the Midlands Health Network board.

He is the chairman of six private companies including technology businesses Smooth Sensors Limited and Fleetcoach Limited, sits on two Enterprise Angels investor network boards, and is a trustee of Te Awa Great River Rides. He is also involved in a number of small private trusts.

Born in Hamilton, Mark graduated from The University of Waikato in 1990 with a business management degree, majoring in accounting. His experience includes work with a global emerging markets investment company based on Fleet St in London, and 20+ years managing small to medium size businesses in New Zealand. Earlier this year Mark stepped down from the WEL Energy Trust, the ultimate owner of WEL Networks Limited and Ultrafast Fibre Limited, which he had chaired for nearly 10 years.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the board in delivering on both the social and stakeholder goals for Pinnacle Ventures,” says Mark.

“Ventures was established by Pinnacle Incorporated to advance technology and systems development for the network, and more broadly, to help develop and support new ways of delivering high quality community-based healthcare. We have a strongly aligned board, strategy and team who can deliver this. With the Health and Disabilities Review complete and a new Government and health minister confirmed, it is an exciting time being part of the sector, as we collectively seek to deliver a reimagined healthcare system in New Zealand, that places the customers unique needs front and centre.”

Craig will remain a member of the Ventures board and continue to chair the Midlands Regional Health Network Charitable Trust Board and the combined Pinnacle Incorporated and Midlands Health Network board.
