Pinnacle Incorporated and Midlands Health Network move to combined board structure

03 April 2020

Craig McFarlane.

Significant changes to the Pinnacle Incorporated and Midlands Health Network board structure were confirmed at the Pinnacle Incorporated Executive Committee meeting on 27 February 2020.

Frank Cullen is stepping down as chairman but will remain a board member. Frank has been a long serving leader and integral contributor to the growth and direction of Pinnacle since its early beginnings. Frank joined the executive committee as deputy chairman in 2003, and assumed the chairman’s role in 2005. On behalf of our staff, committees and entire network, we thank Frank for his enormous contribution to delivering the best health outcomes for people and communities.

Pinnacle Incorporated and Midlands Health Network will now be governed by a combined board. Craig McFarlane has been appointed to the role of independent chairman of the combined board. Craig remains as chair of the Midlands Regional Health Network Charitable Trust Board, and will step down from his position as chair of the Pinnacle Ventures Ltd Board once a replacement has been appointed.

In light of the combined board structure, Murray Gutry has stepped down from the Midlands Health Network board after many years of service, both as an independent director and more recently as board chair.

Brendon Eade remains as deputy chair for the combined board, vice clinical chair and GP lead. Brendon has been a board member for many years and provides continuity of leadership for the board.

We will formally celebrate Frank and Murray’s contributions at an appropriate time.
