New practice management toolkit designed to provide support to practices

Pinnacle development managers have created a practice management toolkit to provide essential tools and resources to support practice managers, business managers, and other staff involved in the management of general practice.

The tool aims to streamline administrative tasks, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the quality of care and services delivered at practice level.

  • The need for the toolkit was identified through the Pinnacle Workforce Survey, from reception and administration feedback, which highlighted gaps in practice management, difficulties in navigating health systems, understanding funding, and managing the business aspects of general practices.
  • Some respondents found the health systems difficult to navigate, funding hard to understand and the business of general practices overwhelming.
  • Stakeholder feedback highlighted the busyness of practice management roles and the desire for a tool to assist with management of frequent practice management tasks.
  • The toolkit provides quick and easy reference to links, tools and information to support the management of general practices.

Pinnacle is committed to continuously improving the toolkit, and your suggestions will play a crucial role in this process. Evaluation and feedback will take place in mid-2025, including a review of content for a revised manual.
