Waikato DHB information system outage and services update

Waikato DHB's information systems were affected by a cyber security incident on Tuesday 18 May 2021. Services are impacted and will resume over time. Patient care and safety remains their priority. This incident has affected services at Waikato, Te Kūiti, Taumarunui, Thames and Tokoroa hospitals and our community-based services.

Outpatient clinics are disrupted - please check the DHB website for latest updates, or by calling the dedicated Waikato DHB call centre on 0800 276 216. The main DHB and hospital is also available for any questions relating to appointments or care on 07 839 8899.

PHO collaboration to deliver Regional Workforce Hub in Te Manawa Taki

Two Primary Health Organisations (PHOs) in Te Manawa Taki have been awarded the contract to deliver the Te Manawa Taki Workforce Hub. Funded by Health New Zealand, Pinnacle Midlands Health Network will hold the contract and co-lead the Hub with Te Puna Hauora Matua o Hauraki (Hauraki PHO). This model reflects a shared commitment to equity, co-governance and a focus on Māori and rural workforces.
