This page holds resources to support training and delivery of the B4 School Check in Waikato.

Referral criteria clarification

Following recent queries from a number of practices, the B4 School team has engaged with the National Public Health Service (NPHS) Waikato, for clarification.

Public Health Nursing (PHN) leads have confirmed that only tamariki who meet all of the following criteria are eligible for referral.

• Age: 4 years, 3 months to 4 years, 10 months

• Ethnicity: Māori and/or Pasifika

• Deprivation level: Living in a deprivation quintile 5 area.

This means referrals will only be accepted for children who meet both criteria.
